Dannielle North-Decunto is committed to the appreciation of culture through language acquisition.  She knows from first-hand experience that one of the best gifts one can give to oneself and indeed to one's children is the gift of one or more languages.  Increasingly, more people are realizing this and are recognizing the tremendous benefits attached to not only acquiring another language but having an in-depth understanding of and appreciation for the many cultures that enrich our country.

Dannielle's vision for the school has no boundaries.  She strives continuously to cater to the language needs and requests of the public. Dannielle's background in education and particularly Spanish Language Instruction have prepared her well to develop Language Exchange curriculum and teaching methods.

Melissa North

Melissa North, a graduate of CSU,  spent her sophomore year as an exchange student at Kansai Gaikokugo Daigaku in Osaka, Japan.  She participated in the year long exchange program on a full National Security Education Council scholarship and was one of the first students to represent CSU in what is now an ongoing partnership between Fort Collins and Osaka.  Upon graduation, Melissa returned to Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher through the Japanese Exchange Teaching (JET) Program. 

Melissa has worked with Dannielle, the Director, to develop the programs and goals of Language Exchange of Northern Colorado, LLC.  Knowing that Japanese is not available to most students in the area has increased her determination and fuelled her enthusiasm to establish the Japanese program at Language Exchange of Northern Colorado.  Positive feedback from her students adds to her satisfaction and validates the pride she takes in exposing others to Japanese language and culture.
