Preschool and Kindergarten Immersion Schools Schedule
The new immersion school will continue to offer the fun and adventure begun two years ago in our Language Sprouts class. The changes we bring are enhancements to our existing program through extended hours and curriculum focus.

**Kinder Immersion: pick from any of the days and times offered throughout the week. Mix and match what works for you! You must enroll for at least 2 times during the week. Example: Mon. and Tues., 8:30-11:30 and Wed., 12:30-3:30.
School Mission
Core Knowledge gone Global!
The duo of Yesenia Perez, an elementary school teacher of eight years in Puerto Rico, and Dannielle North-Decunto, a long time home-schooler and Fort Collins educator of 12 years, have combined the countries and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world with the foundation of Core Knowledge and its principles. This, along with authentically native-speakers and our devotion to experiential learning of cultures and people, creates a balance which caters to children's natural curiosity about different peoples and places and appeals to all learning styles.
This school experience is dedicated to removing the idea of "exotic" peoples and places and replacing it with "different, important and interesting." Our daily routines will share those of children from around the globe. Through interactive lessons we will bring the customs of children from around the globe into our very own classroom. This teaches children to appreciate that "different" is not weird or wrong, it's just... different. The result is an ideal environment to nurture your child's young mind, full of its big dreams, with the knowledge to be respectfully aware and culturally enlightened world citizens!
With our extended hours and new classes we are able to offer a class for every level of experience and engagement. All classes are offered as Spanish immersion. Daily schedules are now available online.
Course Descriptions
Baby Buds (18-24 months)This is the perfect way for you and your tot to explore the great big world and all of its languages. You, the parent learn how to interact and play with your child in a way that will encourage language acquisition. Your native-speaking instructor will lead the group in a specific theme and then break you up into individual stations where you are encouraged to use the specific vocabulary so that once you are back home you will be confident that your pronunciation and usage are correct.
Truth be told; the children play, listen and follow directions while you do all the work. It’s ideal for parents who want to learn along with their child as well as for native-speaking parents who are having a hard time getting their children to speak at home. The playful, respectful atmosphere teaches children to think of the second language in a positive and fun way and allows you to remain your child’s primary teacher.

Tiny Sprouts (Preschool 2-3 years)
A first classroom experience should be fun and relaxed for both the parent and child. This class offers an opportunity for social experiences in a group class setting. Taught only in Spanish, children 2-3 years of age who are potty-trained or almost potty-trained can join friends to learn about sharing and communicating through stories, songs, crafts and dance as an independent little person. Parents are invited to gradually step back for 50 minutes and let their child's individual personality flourish. A wonderful introduction to independence and multi-lingualism.
Language Sprouts (Pre-K, 2.5 - 4 years)
When they're ready to be on their own there's room for tons of fun. Here's where academia meets international adventure. We begin everyday as millions of people in China do, with "laughing" and tai chi. We will gather as a group, (parents welcome) to greet the day and recognize our connection to one another and the world around us. Can you think of a better start to the school day? After community tai chi we enter our classroom to learn about those things and people to which we are all connected, through our investigation of specific countries, their artists, music, dance, food, places and folklore. They won't even know that they've been working in the subjects of art, science, language arts, geography, social studies,history and world language.
The entire days is taught in *Spanish!! Don't you wish your first school experience had been as profound and fun?
* for half an hour each day, world language is also taught in the target language. Languages vary by year. 2009/2010 language is Mandarin Chinese.
All classes are podcast and internet accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
